Centre of Excellence Women in Science and Research (CEWS)

The Center of Excellence Women and Science (CEWS) was opened at the University of Bonn in 2000. It sees itself as a knowledge- and research-based service institution that provides its services to female scientists, universities, research institutions, scientific organisations and political bodies. The CEWS works towards the realisation of equal opportunities for women and men in science and research in Germany. In this policy field, the CEWS provides food for thought, initiates change processes, which it accompanies scientifically, and actively shapes the necessary transfer processes between science and politics.
