Scholarship programme of the GDCh Division Water Chemistry Society

The Water Chemistry Society of the German Chemical Society (GDCh) promotes the participation of junior scientists in selected conferences or workshops (e.g. WASSER annual conference) by awarding travel grants.

Framework conditions:

  • Target group: Students during their Master's thesis, doctoral students
  • Requirement: Active participation in the event, i.e. oral or poster presentation
  • Awarding mode: "first come, first serve"
  • All scholarship holders are requested to mention the sponsorship by the GDCh Water Chemistry Division in their lecture or on their poster.
WATER 2026

The Wasserchemische Gesellschaft awards a limited number of conference scholarships of a maximum of 250 euros each to students during their master's thesis or doctorate for active participation in the WATER 2026, which will take place from 11 to 13 May 2026. Applications can be submitted by email to Maike Fries (GDCh office) up to three weeks before the start of the event under the keyword "Tagungsstipendium WASSER 2026". The complete documentation includes the following documents:

  • Completed application form
  • Confirmation of acceptance of the conference fee
  • Proof of registration for the conference
