Call for applications for the Fluorine Chemistry Publication Prize 2026

The GDCh Fluorine Chemistry Working Group of the German Chemical Society invites applications for the "Fluorine Chemistry Publication Prize" to be awarded in 2026.

The award is intended to recognise outstanding scientific work in the field of fluorine chemistry by a chemist working in Germany with a doctorate. German scientists working abroad can also be nominated. The work should already have been published and be no more than two years old at the time of nomination.

University lecturers or industrial chemists working in relevant fields of research are eligible to nominate. Self-applications are not possible. Internationally appointed experts and the board of the AG Fluorchemie decide on the selection. The prize includes prize money totalling 1000.00 euros. The prize will be awarded at the 21st German Fluorine Day 2026 (14-16 September, Schmitten im Taunus). The award winner will give a lecture at this event.

The informal electronic application (PDF) must be accompanied by the scientific work, a short justification of the prize worthiness in English, a detailed curriculum vitae and a summary of the scientific publications of the nominee over the last two to three years. Proposals can be sent to the GDCh office, Fluorine Chemistry Working Group, n.buerger@gdch.de, by 30 March 2026 .
