Public relations working group: Projects

The public relations working group has carried out and continues to carry out the following projects:

  • Conferences Organisation of regional and national conferences:
    • First and foremost the SEC annual meetings: first-class lectures, posters, excursions; time for discussion - up to 250 participants.
    • Participation in the Science Forums (WiFo) of the GDCh. At almost all WiFos, we organised an afternoon with four lectures on interdisciplinary topics.
  • Events. Organisation of regional and national lectures and courses
    • Courses for senior citizens. Computer courses "Young helps old" and Facebook workshop for senior citizens, see "separate website.
    • Lectures in the local chapters. See the activities in the Münster local chapter. Participation of an SEC member on the Darmstadt local association board (2012-2013)
  • Excursions. Organisation of the SEC Technology Tours
  • Local associations. Active participation of seniors in the GDCh networks of the specialist and regional structures.
  • Making contact. Establishing and maintaining contacts between seniors and active members at all levels, especially with young chemists, young business chemists and young food chemists. In this context, also the foundation of a JCF (JungesChemieForum) in Steinfurt with the help of the network working group and the young chemists from Münster.
