Working Group Nanomaterials and Microparticles

The working group consists of members who come from official monitoring, commercial laboratories, the food industry and research institutions.

Tasks and goals

The aim of the Nanomaterials and Microplastics Working Group is to exchange information and scientific views on the applications, occurrence and assessment of nanomaterials and microplastics in the consumer environment.

In particular, the areas of animal feed and food are considered; if technically necessary, other relevant areas can be included. The aim is to achieve standardisation and standardisation of analytical methods to ensure the quality and accuracy of determinations in complex matrices and to assess products and exposures.

The aim is to actively influence federal and EU legislative proposals by drawing up statements, thereby creating a standardised scientific basis for assessments.
