SEC working group School Education Career becomes MINT ambassador
As part of the school partnership, the SEC working group Schule Bildung Beruf offers schools and other educational institutions generally understandable lectures on topics related to chemistry. For this activity, the working group was honoured on 4 Dec 2015 by the "MINT Zukunft schaffen" initiative as a MINT ambassador (MINT = mathematics, information technology, natural sciences and technology). The certificates were presented by GDCh Managing Director Wolfram Koch and Elisabeth Kapatsina, Education Coordinator of the GDCh, at the GDCh office in Frankfurt.

The initiative "MINT Zukunft schaffen" aims to contribute to a positive attitude towards STEM among young people, parents, teachers and the general public. The aim is to strengthen STEM skills and abilities in all areas of education: early childhood education, general education schools, vocational training, higher education and further vocational training. MINT Zukunft is a registered, non-profit organisation based in Berlin.

MINT ambassadors help to get young people interested in STEM. They can do this in a variety of ways, see MINT ambassadors on the web.
