CheMento - the mentoring programme of the GDCh

CheMento is the nationwide mentoring programme of the GDCh. In a kind of tandem relationship, experienced chemists use their experience to support young chemists with their questions about career planning, career entry and orientation.

With CheMento , the GDCh offers students, doctoral candidates or postdocs from the field of chemistry the opportunity to make optimum use of the GDCh's large network.

Participation in CheMento is free of charge and designed for a period of 12 months.

Details on the CheMento programme

Prof. Dr Stefanie Dehnen, GDCh President 2024 & 2025, about CheMento:

"Our world is currently changing rapidly - everything is becoming more confusing and uncertain. In times like these, it is particularly important for young professionals to be able to rely on experienced people who can act as mentors to help them find their own path and take their first steps with confidence. To this end, the GDCh has established the CheMento programme, a platform that offers exactly that - free of charge and uncomplicated! Students, doctoral candidates and postdocs can enjoy the benefits of a large network and the expertise gathered there and use it for their own careers. Don't miss out on this opportunity!"
