The Liebig Association has been organising a lecture series since 1999
- the Liebig Lectureship -
for outstanding young scientists in organic chemistry, preferably from other European countries.
This lecture series takes the recipients - the Liebig Lecturers - on a scientific trip to Germany to several universities or research institutes of their choice. The Liebig Lecturer receives prize money of EUR 4000 for organising the trip.
The Liebig Association for Organic Chemistry in the GDCh is once again inviting applications for the Liebig Lectureship to be awarded in 2026 . The prize is to be awarded to an outstanding young scientist in organic chemistry, preferably from another European country. The associated trip to Germany will take the honouree to several university or research institutes of his or her choice, where he or she will report on his or her own scientific work. The Executive Board of the Liebig Association decides on the selection of the Lecturer.
Suitable candidates should be proposed with a letter of motivation, CV and list of publications by Monday, 13 April 2026, exclusively in electronic form to n.buerger@gdch.de.The previous holders of the Liebig Lectureship were:
