Columns for daily newspapers

Many people are not afraid of driving but are afraid of the chemicals. There is a simple reason for this: they have learnt the manoeuvres required to drive a car at driving school and usually have many years of experience with them. They understand the relationships and have them under control. Not so with chemistry. In many cases, the relationships in chemistry are unknown.

One of the main aims of the Senior Expert Chemists is to explain chemical relationships to a wide audience in an easily understandable way. The Public Relations working group has taken on this task. Senior experts have compiled topics from chemistry that are suitable for columns in newspapers.

Under the leadership of Dr Ursula Kraska, these articles are edited and offered to individual daily newspapers for publication. Under the motto: "From chemistry: what you know, what you should know", the articles are available in a standardised form, naturally machine-readable and therefore editable. If you are interested, please contact Dr Kraska (phone 06150-3353).

Currently, texts for columns can be offered on the following topics:

  • Adrenaline
  • Alcohols
  • Amino acids
