The Paint Chemistry Division of the German Chemical Society (GDCh) awards honorary membership of the division in recognition of extraordinary commitment to the coatings industry, to research or to the division - associated with advances in coating technology or in the work of the specialist group. The appointment of an honorary member is based on a proposal by the membership and a decision by the specialist group board.
