HomepageFelix Bloch Lecture
Felix Bloch Lecture of the GDCh Magnetic Resonance Section

The Magnetic Resonance Division of the German Chemical Society (GDCh) usually awards the Felix Bloch Lecture annually, which recognises outstanding achievements by mature young scientists in the field of magnetic resonance over the past five years - as evidenced by scientific publications. The award is accompanied by a certificate and prize money of 1000 euros. The award winner usually gives four lectures, the first of which is held directly after the award ceremony, which takes place as part of the FGMR Annual Discussion Meeting.

Prize committee: Chairs of the previous, current and subsequent FGMR Annual Discussion Meetings

Current call for applications: Felix Bloch Lecture 2026

Deadline: 31 March 2026

Objective

The prize
The award is accompanied by a certificate and prize money of 1000 euros donated by the specialist group. The award winner usually gives four lectures, the first of which is held directly after the award ceremony as part of the 47th FGMR Annual Discussion Meeting , which will take place in Mainz from 14 to 17 September 2026. The award will be decided by a selection committee appointed by the Executive Committee of the specialist group.

Nomination
Researchers who have made outstanding scientific achievements in the five years prior to the nomination can be nominated. Applications are not possible. All nominations include the following documents:

  • Acknowledgement of scientific achievements,
  • Curriculum Vitae (including contact details) and
  • Publication list.
