PLEASE NOTE: This special offer has ended - thank you for your great interest The "lucky ones" will be notified shortly.

20 fuel cell cars for school lessons

The Chemistry & Energy Division of the German Chemical Society (GDCh) is supporting the purchase of a fuel cell car for your school lessons with up to 100 euros. On 17 September 2025, you will have the opportunity to apply for financial support to teach your pupils about the connections between chemistry and renewable energy through experiments.

Funding conditions

  1. You are a teacher at a school in Germany. The campaign applies to all types of schools and all year groups.
  2. The GDCh will reimburse one set per school with up to 100 euros. If the purchase costs are less than 100 euros, the invoice amount will be reimbursed.
  3. The promotion is limited to 20 demonstration sets. All registrations received on 17 September 2025 will be randomly selected. Registrations received before or after the deadline will not be considered.
  4. The prerequisite for reimbursement is a "proof photo" that proves the use of the Hydrocar in class, without showing the faces of people.
  5. You authorise the GDCh to publish your name, the name of your school, the class and the photo on its website.

How do you get your demonstration set?

  1. Choose a set from any company.
  2. Please fill out this online form and submit it on 17 September 2025.
  3. You will receive an acceptance email if you are one of the lucky 20 who submitted the form on 17 September 2025 and were selected by lot.
  4. Once you have been approved for reimbursement, you can purchase a Hydrocar from the manufacturer of your choice and use it in the classroom.
  5. Please send the following 3 files by e-mail to Maike Fries:
-- summarised in one PDF file: completed & signed Reimbursement form
and invoice for the demonstration set,
-- Photo demonstrating the use of the set in class (without identifiable faces),
-- completed Declaration of consent for data use.
  6. On receipt of all required documents, reimbursement will be made by the GDCh.

We wish you every success in your experimental lessons!

Yours
Board of the GDCh Chemistry & Energy Division
