German Working Group for Analytical Spectroscopy

The German Working Group for Analytical Spectroscopy of the GDCh Division of Analytical Chemistry networks experts and users in the field of analytical spectroscopy. With over 500 members, the DAAS has its finger on the pulse of research, teaching and industry. The DAAS was formed in April 2014 through the merger of the working groups A.M.S.El. (Working Group for Micro and Trace Analysis of Elements and Elemental Species) and DASp (German Working Group for Applied Spectroscopy).

The DAAS

  • promotes interdisciplinary collaboration between spectroscopists

    The DAAS

    • organises sessions as part of the analytica conference and the ANAKON
    • organises doctoral seminars
    • enables 1:1 mentoring for students
    • awards the "Bunsen-Kirchhoff-Preis für Analytische Spektroskopie" as well as the "DAAS-Preis"
