Working group 9 - Websites

Status quo

The SEC website provides information about all SEC activities and offers. It reflects our interests and encourages visitors to get involved with the SEC. The SEC web also serves as an archive

.

Necessary changes are made almost daily due to current events. Changes and corrections are always discussed with the people responsible for the activity in question and, if necessary, with the SEC Board.

Objectives

  • The primary objective of the SEC websites is to keep them up to date and attractive.
  • Regular monitoring of visitor numbers
  • Continuously ensure new visitors

Projects under consideration

One focus in 2026 will be to adapt the SEC websites to the SEC flyer and the new structure of the working groups

In addition, the GDCh will probably switch from the CMS Typo3 (CMS=Content Management System) to another system in 2026. The people responsible for the SEC web (see below) will take part in training courses for the new system.

Members of the working group

Speakers: Wolfgang Gerhartz, Thomas Mühlenbernd
Eva E. Wille

Collaboration with GDCh specialist groups

  • Links on the SEC websites to activities of other GDCh specialist groups are welcome.
  • In addition: The globally accessible information on our websites must always be coordinated with the public relations work of the GDCh (Dr Karin Schmitz, Maren Mielck). Close cooperation with the GDCh digitisation team is necessary (Maximilian Bräutigam, Alexander Lorey).
