Working group 5 - Current topics, discourses

Status quo

Identification of current and potentially controversial topics of social interest. Open and fair discourse on these topics and subsequent opinion-forming. Development of proposals to publish this opinion in a suitable form: either commission the "Publishing" working group or form a subgroup for the purpose of publication.
Examples of topics include climate and energy, environmental protection, chemicals in the environment, the future of the chemical industry, raw materials, the hydrogen economy, e-fuels, etc.
Current media contributions to all (newspaper, radio, ....)

Goals

  • Two meetings per year in a large group; usually online meetings (no hybrid meeting). Wolfgang Gerhartz or Franz Schütz can organise meetings, but do not have to attend the meetings.
  • Prepare statements for publication
  • Consider suitability for "Nachgerechnet" (newsletter)
  • Continuously provide for young talent

Projects under consideration

Suggest topics, e.g. for "Recalculated", "Pros and cons", "Fascination of chemistry", "Occasions for short essays in social media".
